Herbal tea for mental clarity

Yield: 2 cups

Brew this blend when you’re feeling a little foggy or need to focus on a project with super alert energy.

  1. cups filtered water 1 tsp ginseng root

1 tsp gotu kola

1  tsp 

  root 1 tbsp tulsi, fresh or dried

  1. tsp rosemary, fresh or dried 1 tbsp goji berries

Bring the water to a boil in a teakettle. Place all the herbs in a teapot or glass jar. Once the water has boiled, pour it over the herbs, place the cover on the teapot, and let steep for at least five minutes. Strain the tea   and serve. Herbal teas can steep longer to release even more medicinal qualities and flavor, or add more     hot water and do a second  brew.


Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Its roots and orange-red fruit have been used for hundreds of years for medicinal purposes. 

 Tulsi is an aromatic shrub in the basil family Lamiaceae (tribe ocimeae) that is thought to have originated in north central India and now grows native throughout the eastern world tropics.The Basil or Tulsi plant has many medicinal properties. The leaves strengthen the stomach and help in respiratory diseases.

Gotu kola is a perennial herb native to Asia. People have used gotu kola in traditional medicine for many years, due to its potential health properties. Some people believe that gotu kola may help heal wounds, improve cognition, and lower blood pressure.
